About Heather
Heather Pickett WHNP, a graduate of the University of Nebraska has been practicing the art of nursing for over 28 years. She has been a board certified nurse practitioner for over 18 years, specializing in women’s health. Heather retired from the Navy in 2015 and joined WHSC. Her experience in medical/surgical nursing, mental health, labor and delivery, postpartum, women’s health and emergency medicine has resulted in a well rounded professional nurse and provider. Heather has always been an advocate for women’s health and family centered care. She enjoys interaction with women across the lifespan, Heather is married to a retired Marine Corps aviator who currently flies air medical helicopters in the local area. They have raised 8 children and enjoy their nearly empty nest.
