Heather Pickett WHNP, a graduate of the University of Nebraska has been practicing the art of nursing for over 20 years. She has been a board certified nurse practitioner for over 10 years, specializing in women’s health. Heather recently retired from the Navy after 20 years of faithful service. Her 20 years of service included tours of duty in Great Lakes, Illinois, Okinawa, Japan, Omaha, Nebraska, Bethesda, Maryland, Cherry Point, North Carolina and Kandahar, Afghanistan. Her experience in medical/surgical nursing, mental health, labor and delivery, postpartum, women’s health and austere emergency medicine has resulted in a well rounded professional nurse and provider. Heather has always been an advocate for women’s health and family centered care. She is an expert in contraceptive technology and strives to develop a partnership with her patients for all their women’s health care needs. She enjoys interaction with women across the lifespan, and she is excited to take on new patients in the community. Heather is married to a retired Marine Corps aviator and they are busy with their blended family of 8 children aged 10-22.
