Shamil Roman, CNM, WHNP-BC, grew up in Woodbridge, VA. She graduated from Marymount University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing 2015, beginning her nursing practice in an ER and trauma setting in which she is board certified in pediatric and adult emergencies. She has always had two loves in the medical field which are ER/Acute care and Women’s health. After personally enduring several obstetrical emergencies, she felt it was time to devote her professional life to women’s health. She received a Master of Science as a Certified Nurse Midwife/ Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University in 2020. I want to be a resource for all women throughout their reproductive lifespan and beyond. I enjoy empowering women and helping them to embrace the truly amazing capabilities of our bodies. She is an Army reservist with 19 years of service and counting. She is married with three children ages 15, 12, and 5. When she is not working, she enjoys shopping, fashion, traveling, and spending time with her family.
